A Year in Review — Jessica Hart Consulting Celebrates 2 Years

As 2025 comes to a close, I’m reflecting on what has been one of the most unpredictable—and unexpectedly successful—years since launching Jessica Hart Consulting. This December marks two years in business, and the milestones tell a story I’m incredibly proud of.

What started as a scrappy, niche HR consulting practice has grown into a trusted partner for hospitality operators, SaaS companies, and scaling teams navigating real people strategy and real compliance.

Below are the KPI’s and moments that defined our year.

Key Performance Indicators & Milestones

A Baby in Q2 — and Clients Who Showed Up Like Family

I welcomed my son this year, and clients responded with a level of support that reflected the relationships we’ve built. Balancing newborn life with running a business was both exciting and challenging—and ultimately sharpened my focus as a founder.

A Perfect Track Record: Never Had a Client Refuse to Pay

This continues to be a year-over-year win and a testament to the trust, clarity, and integrity we bring to every engagement.
This year alone, we partnered with 12 incredible clients.

3 Years of Measurable YOY Growth

Our Year 1 → Year 2 revenue growth hit 108%, strengthening the proof that our model works—and that the demand for strategic, practical HR continues to grow.

The #WeirdestKPI Award: ChatGPT → $52K in New Revenue

Two cold inbound clients found us through ChatGPT—yes, really—totaling $52,000 in new business. It was unexpected and a good reminder: your digital footprint matters.

An Audit Story Worth Sharing

The Department of Labor arrived unannounced to audit a restaurant client…
On a Saturday.
At lunchtime.
Wearing house slippers.
Real life HR keeps you on your toes.

Largest Client (by Revenue): Restaurant/Brewery Growth

One client expanded from one location to four in California across 2024–2025. Supporting their scaling people strategy, structure, and compliance was a highlight of the year.

Second-Largest Client (by Revenue): SaaS, Hospitality-Focused

Our work continues to bridge the gap between hospitality operations and the software built to support them. As our largest client by employee size, it’s rewarding to know our behind-the-scenes support mitigates risk for so many businesses globally.

Smallest Client (by Employee Size)

A 15-employee business in my hometown—proof that the work we do is meaningful no matter the scale.

Top Project Category of 2025: M&A

Buy-side transactions and new acquisitions dominated the year. This work is where HR meets operations, financial risk, and organizational design—showing just how essential people strategy is during periods of expansion.

Looking Ahead to 2026

Next year brings a set of exciting milestones:

  • I become a TK parent in the fall

  • Two HR speaking events are already confirmed—one virtual, one in Chicago (and more coming)

  • We’re preparing our S-Corp election and shifting from “me” to “we” as we plan for employees

This evolution reflects where the business is heading: toward a team-based model grounded in clarity, culture, and a high standard of service.

A Year That Should Have Been Flat… But Wasn’t

Heading into Q2, I assumed this would be a “baby year”—flat revenue, simplified operations, maybe even a small contraction (no pun intended).

Instead, the growth showed up anyway.

Clients trusted us.
Referrals expanded.
Demand increased.

And the business grew because of the foundation we laid—not despite the personal milestones happening at the same time.

Closing Out 2025

In these final weeks, I’m focused on:

  • Finalizing our 5-Year Business Plan

  • Moving from “me” to “we” in my own internal org design (SO EXCITED!)

  • And, on the lighter side, planning how our Elf will travel to Grandpa’s house in Wisconsin

Thank you to every client, partner, and leader who trusted us this year.
Here’s to rest, clarity, and an intentional step into year three.

LFG.
